Greenleaf Farm

Greenleaf Farms is owned and operated by Master Gardener Gregory J. Brown. It is a sustainable farm where a diverse array of produce is grown organically providing the community with food that is healthy and tastes good. Although born in New York City, Greg claims Hilton Head as his hometown. His Alma Mater is the College of Charleston.

Mission Statement

I value the Earth and believe that regenerative farming is the ideal way to farm and collaborate with nature. In my connection with the Earth through farming I’ve found the Earth will tell you precisely what is needed to grow healthy crops without harming the soil, air, and water so that I can live to farm another day.

Greenleaf Farms means to show that it is entirely possible to farm with heart.

Personal and Professional Goals:

To learn as much as possible and become an excellent farmer and steward of my ground.

My Skills and Areas of Expertise

I grew up on a small hog farm in Hilton Head. In addition to caring for other animals, we grew what we ate. From an early age I was involved with working in the gardens with my Dad and learned first-hand how to care for the land and grow food for our family. I worked in food and beverage for 30 years as a kitchen manager then chef. I owned a landscaping company, Mr. Green Leaf that did installation and maintenance of residential gardens.
